Golden dress wedding in Coromandel // Mel + Josh

It was a warm summer day in Hahei, Coromandel when Josh and Melanie decided to get married. Their wedding was on 30th of May, when New Zealand summer is already finishing and the days are getting shorter. I arrived in Hahei in the early morning to check in the hostel. I spend all morning photographing the bride, her family and the bridesmaids getting ready and my second shooter Melissa was at the Josh's place with boys. Wow, when I saw Mel's wedding dress, I was in love. Her wedding dress was golden and shiny covered with gold sequin glitters designed by White Silk bridal. The wedding ceremony was near Coromandel beach close to Cathedral Cove. They were standing under a rustic arch designed by Epoch Antiques and Floristry and giving each other a promise. Josh and Mel used to spend lots if time in this area and go to a local pub The Pour house to have beer and lots of great talks. Now they live in Australia and they were very excited to come back to a place they used to spend lots of time. The reception was held in Hahei town hall in a huge modern marquee hired from Peninsula Party Hire. And they danced until the morning. When I left around 11pm to go back to my hostel, locals were watching the party from a distance with a jealousy.
