Lucy & Tom’s wedding at Turanga Creek was a heartfelt celebration of love across continents. They met in Stockholm in 2019 during exchange programs, navigated a long-distance relationship through COVID, and eventually reunited in New Zealand by the end of 2022.
Their day brought family and friends together from opposite sides of the globe, blending cultures with ease. Lucy, naturally A-type, and Tom, her calm, grounded each other perfectly — a balance evident in their laughter, quiet moments, and shared joy.
Favourite memories like travelling to Crete and Lapland, including a glass-roofed cabin to watch the northern lights, show their love of adventure and wonder. Even their first date — exploring Stockholm on Culture Night and visiting the Vasa Museum — reflects a relationship built on curiosity, patience, and shared experiences.
