ENGAGEMENT | PRE-WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

I love these shoots as they allow you both to unfold and let your personalities and relationship shine through. I enjoy capturing natural intimate moments. Removing the pressure for timings and other people that will be at your wedding day means we can focus on getting to know each other, connect, feel more at ease with each other and relaxed on the wedding day. Take some stunning engagement photographs you can treasure, and the photography on the wedding day will feel all the less scary.

I’m more than happy to work with you to come up with a photography session that suits you and your love story. Have ideas? Let me know. Don’t have any idea? I’ll work with you both to find something that works.

Please note, that we can schedule your engagement session only during weekdays Monday-Thursday during the wedding season October-May as I am busy shooting weddings. Some weekends are available during winter months.

    • Advice about the location and what to wear

  • Your engagement (pre-wedding) photography session is intended to tell your story, we will work together to find a location that helps set the scene to show this off, and is a great opportunity to be in a completely different setting than your wedding. Is there somewhere special to you both? Maybe your first date? Or where the proposal happened? The forest, beach, city streets, your favourite park or even a garden (or mountain) are all great options. Sunset is a lovely time at the beach, the light is gorgeous, keep in mind we’d need to start about an hour and a half before sunset to get the light.

  • It is best to be comfortable and yourselves and think about where your shoot will be (walking up a mountain in high heels isn’t much fun, but can look glamorous once we’re at the top!). Take a look at my What To Wear guide for more ideas.

  • There are a couple of very good reasons to have a photo shoot before your wedding day…

Firstly, why not celebrate that moment in time that is purely yours as a couple. When the celebration is about your love story and that awesome commitment to each other?

Secondly, for some this may be a commitment to marry but the wedding may be some way off. Why not grab this moment in time to celebrate your story?

Thirdly, it is a great way to get a feel for your wedding photographer and how it feels to be in front of the camera. Allowing you both to feel more comfortable, relaxed and even enjoy the photography journey (call it practice for the big day, with out the pressure).
